About Keynes
Keynes is a performance-first programmatic CTV partner helping high-growth brands scale through audience-first strategy, advanced analytics, and precise execution. We build high-throughput, data-driven programmatic solutions that bridge deep analytics with seamless execution across the modern TV ecosystem.
Position Summary
Keynes is seeking a Product Manager (PM) to turn vision into high-scale, enterprise-grade platforms. Reporting directly to the SVP of Product and partnering closely with the CTO, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle for our core programmatic capabilities—translating complex business logic and advanced data models into resilient, market-leading platform products.
This is a high-impact product leadership role designed for an autonomous builder who thrives at the intersection of business strategy, system architecture, and execution. You will act as the vital bridge between executive leadership and engineering, steering technical discovery, product specifications, build execution, and market readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Discovery & Technical Architecture
- Partner with the SVP of Product and CTO to shape the platform roadmap, transforming complex market opportunities and client requirements into scalable platform capabilities.
- Author comprehensive, enterprise-grade Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), system flows, and technical epics. Define functional specifications, data models, and acceptance criteria robust enough for engineering execution and technical validation.
- Translate custom algorithms, data science models (e.g., Python/R), and ad-hoc analyses into automated, enterprise-ready product features.
Platform Execution & Engineering Delivery
- Serve as the primary product authority for dedicated engineering teams—facilitating backlog grooming, sprint planning, and technical decision-making.
- Evaluate trade-offs between speed, scalability, and technical debt, making decisive product calls that keep development velocity high without compromising system integrity.
- Unblock engineering teams by resolving functional ambiguities, evaluating API integrations, and steering architectural dependencies.
Quality Governance & Release Excellence
- Establish the definition of “Done” and enforce rigorous Product Acceptance Standards before features transition to production.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate data flow fidelity, sanity-checking backend transformations and system edge cases.
- Drive smooth product releases across the portfolio, managing cross-functional dependencies, deployment cadence, and system reliability.
Enablement & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with Learning & Development (L&D) and Product Marketing (PMM) to translate complex technical builds into clear internal training, operational workflows, and market-facing product positioning.
- Establish clear key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational SLAs for platform features, holding cross-functional teams accountable to delivery timelines.
Key Cross-Functional Relationships
- SVP of Product: Strategic manager and partner on portfolio vision, trade-offs, and multi-quarter roadmaps.
- Chief Technology Officer (CTO): Strategic advisor on technical architecture, system scalability, and platform feasibility.
- Engineering & Data Teams: Daily operational interface to translate product requirements into high-performing code and resilient pipelines.
- Product Marketing & Operations: Partners in operationalizing releases, go-to-market execution, and enterprise client enablement.
Qualifications & Competencies
Baseline Experience
- 3+ years of technical product management experience, with a proven record of launching complex B2B software, data platforms, or enterprise SaaS products from 0 to 1 and scaling them from 1 to N.
- Demonstrated experience working in data-intensive, low-latency, or highly complex ecosystems (AdTech, FinTech, MarTech, or Enterprise Infrastructure).
Technical Mastery & Data Fluency
- Technical Background: Educational or professional foundation in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- System Architecture & APIs: Ability to read API specifications, evaluate microservice dependencies, and comprehend cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS) and data pipeline mechanics.
- Data Proficiency: Strong hands-on SQL capability; ability to read Python or script logic to audit data transformations, sanity-check models, and evaluate backend output.
- Delivery Methodologies: Deep command of Agile/Scrum lifecycles, CI/CD deployment pipelines, and modern product management tooling (Jira, Confluence, Figma, Miro).
Soft Skills & Strategic Mindset
- Extreme Ownership: A track record of taking end-to-end accountability for feature quality, delivery milestones, and business success.
- Bilingual Communicator: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; fluent in translating executive strategy into engineering requirements and complex technology into simple business value propositions.
Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)
- Direct experience in Programmatic Advertising, CTV, Demand-Side Platforms (DSPs), Data Management Platforms (DMPs), or Identity Resolution networks.
- Familiarity with our modern technology stack: Python, SQL, REST APIs, Cloud Infrastructure (AWS), and Event-Driven Data Pipelines.
- Exposure to machine learning/AI integration within programmatic optimization or predictive analytics workflows.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, or an MBA with a technical concentration.
Deliverables & Success Trajectory
- First 30 Days (Onboarding & Immersion): Master Keynes’ core platform architecture, data flows, and monetization models. Build trusted working alignment with the SVP of Product, CTO, and lead engineers.
- First 60 Days (Specification & Build): Author and gain executive alignment on your first enterprise PRD. Successfully drive the epic into sprint execution with minimal engineering friction.
- First 90 Days (Delivery & Enablement): Deliver your first major product capability through engineering build, UAT, and production deployment. Partner with L&D and PMM to operationalize release enablement.
- First 365 Days (Full Platform Ownership): Own a core platform domain outright—consistently delivering high-impact, performant features on schedule while driving measurable product adoption and client value.
